Vindicate the character of a brother when wrongfully traduced.
I sit back and loom the irony of this all. Just last month, I visit and take care of a brother in the veterans retirement home in Payson. His wife accused me of being “a fag.” This month, I’m being accused of being homophobic.
On one hand, I’ve had the Grand Master of Russia quote me about brotherhood. On the other hand, I’ve been brought up on Masonic charges.
I quoted this a decade ago hoping to prove it wrong but it remains steadfast:
“I’ve come to realize, Not everybody is going to like you. In fact, some people are going to hate and detest you. And it’s the very things that some like most about you that others will find the most repulsive. This is the human condition. You can’t please everybody. Don’t even try.”
