These terms govern your use of Masons on the Level at masonsonthelevel.com, including the essays, the biographies, the museum, the store, and design inquiries. The site is operated by Sng Enterprises, LLC (“we,” “us”).
By using the site, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The site
Masons on the Level is an independent educational site and a store. It does not speak for any Grand Lodge, lodge, or appendant body. Nothing on the site admits you to a lodge, rules on a petition, or replaces the secretary of a lodge.
The writing is for adults. You must be able to form a contract to make a purchase.
Accounts
You may browse without an account. If you create a store account, you are responsible for the activity under that login and for keeping the password private. The information you give us must be accurate. We may close an account that is used to abuse the site, to place fraudulent orders, or to break these terms.
Purchases
Product pages show the price, and checkout shows the total, including shipping and tax when those apply. Payment is collected by the processor offered at checkout, currently Stripe, and Klarna when it is offered. We do not store your full card number.
A physical item is sold as described on its product page. Title to that item passes when we deliver it to the carrier. Design work, including a lodge seal or a site, is a service. The scope, the price, and what you receive are what we agree for that job. A listing titled as a design service is not a finished file until the work is delivered.
If an item arrives damaged, is incorrect, or was not what the product page described, write through the contact page with your order number. We will repair, replace, or refund the purchase when the fault is ours. Shipping charges we passed through to a carrier are refunded when the whole order is returned because of our error.
Your use of the site
You may read the site and share links to it. You may not copy the essays, biographies, or photographs for republication, sell them, or present them as your own. The text we write, the photographs we make, and the design of this site belong to Sng Enterprises, LLC, except where a page names another source. Masonic emblems are not our property.
If comments are open, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, anything that reveals the modes of recognition, or anything you do not have the right to share. We may remove a comment.
Do not attempt to break, scrape for republication, or interfere with the site or with another person’s use of it.
Other websites
Essays and the store sometimes link to lodges, books, and other sites we do not operate. Those sites have their own terms. We are not responsible for what they publish or sell.
Disclaimer
The site is provided as it is. Articles are educational. They are not a promise of a particular historical conclusion, and they are not legal, financial, or medical advice. We work to keep the site accurate and the store in stock. We do not warrant that a page is free of error or that the site will be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Sng Enterprises, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. For a purchase, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limit applies only as far as the law allows.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated terms. A change does not alter an order already placed, except where the law requires it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Sng Enterprises, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
